Paul Davies - Erdington, West Midlands

In February 2008, Deputy Head Teacher Paul Davies intervened in a violent assault taking place outside school. Although he was struck himself while doing so, Paul successfully restrained the armed offender preventing further injury to the victim. The injuries had been caused by hammer blows to the head and could well have proved fatal had the attack continued.
